A female gendarme in Morocco has caused a stir by sharing videos of herself in uniform on TikTok. The woman, employed by the Ouled Said Brigade in Settat province, has been suspended.
In the videos, the female gendarme sings and dances in her office. Such behaviour is strictly forbidden by military regulations. In response to the publications, the regional directorate of the Royal Gendarmerie of Settat has called the gendarme to order and she has been suspended until further notice.
At the same time, an investigation has been opened into the authenticity of one of the videos widely circulating on social media. The video has been sent to the Royal Gendarmerie’s laboratory in Rabat for expertise.
