The diaspora is on fire for this victory all over the world. Even the Algerians. It’s like they themselves won the AFCON 2025.

This Africa Cup of Nations—it’s powerful, it’s positive. I really love what happened, truly, a lot. We understood that it went beyond just the competition: everyone felt it from the start, especially when you see that the prince of a country refuses to hand the trophy to the winning team. These are symbols that speak volumes.
From the beginning, at the start of the tournament, you saw many videos of Senegalese and Moroccans talking about brotherly peoples. And I’m telling you, it’s not just about the competition. Everything that happens around it—the atmosphere. Two journalists even died in their hotels there in Morocco. Serious incidents.
Today, let’s focus on Senegal. No security, no escort, questionable hotels, complicated training, injustice on the field, pressure, sometimes contempt, towels. It even went as far as France, where Omar Sy was criticized for celebrating Senegal’s victory too strongly.
Despite all that, I take away one thing: Senegal. They faced the adversity of a country, a public, staff, players, and FIFA. Calm, dignified, mentally strong. They could have broken under the pressure, but they held on. And that’s why today, the whole of Africa is behind them.
Even though unity, at the base, isn’t really our strong suit. The diaspora is on fire for this victory all over the world. Even the Algerians. It’s like they themselves won the AFCON.
Senegal won a trophy. But not just that. They earned the respect of the entire world—and no one can take that away from them.
