In a video posted on YouTube on Thursday, journalist Ali Lmrabet tries to answer the question that is preoccupying the minds of all Moroccans: Who is behind the Jabaroot hacker?

Among the possibilities he cites is Abdellatif El Hammouchi himself, who would thus be seeking to get rid of his rival, Mohamed Raji. « Anything is possible, » he says, « especially since Barlamane.com, the unofficial spokesperson for the DGST, mentioned a few days ago ‘the enrichment of Mohamed Raji,’ without bothering with conditional phrasing. »
Another possibility, Lmrabet continues, could be a foreign Western or European intelligence service. « A revenge against the DGST for its abuses with Pegasus, whose visible head is none other than Mohamed Raji. In the complex world of espionage, nothing is forgiven, and revenge, a dish best served cold, always ends up being served, » he recalls.

According to the Moroccan journalist, in Morocco, journalists who scrutinize the intelligence services speak of a revenge orchestrated from within the DGST by seasoned executives at war with their hierarchy. An internal war, inside the DGST.

« Why is this possibility interesting? » Lmrabet asks. « Jabaroot has struck again, and this time, he has publicly displayed, again on Telegram, a list of the names of ten senior DGST officials, including Mohamed Raji. And this time, he provided their ID card numbers and their bank account numbers. »

One of them, Lmrabet specifies, is Seifiddine El Blidi, the DGST’s head of human resources. Seifiddine studied at university with King Mohammed VI, and it was King Mohammed VI, in person, who reportedly placed him at the DGST.

A few years ago, King Mohammed VI had wanted to place El Blidi at the head of this political police force, but El Blidi’s private life, it is said, was somewhat dissolute, which would have dissuaded the king.

In Rabat, Lmrabet indicates, the nerves of the small world of the DGST are on edge. The humiliation is palpable, and everyone is paralyzed. It is assumed that Jabaroot will take the next step and, this time, reveal confidences about Hammouchi, « the eye that never sleeps. » And perhaps even about his boss and associate, the viceroy Fouad Ali El Himma.

« In the meantime, » he adds, « one thing is certain: it’s not the senior Moroccan state officials who have already filled their pockets and bought real estate and other assets in Morocco and Europe to secure their old age, and those of their wives, their mistresses, and their offspring. These people, at the first alert, will get out and leave Morocco. They have places to go: the United States, Canada, Great Britain, South Asia, some Eastern European countries. What is certain is that they will not go to France, where they would be exposed. Nor will they settle on the Costa del Sol or in any other European country too close to Morocco. »

« The ones to be pitied are rather the Moroccans who are reduced to the role of simple spectators of their own misery. Yesterday, just like today and tomorrow, Moroccans will always be what is called ‘the butt of the joke,' » he concludes.
