The United States, the EU, and the Italian government are complicit of the crimes in Gaza. President Mattarella is silent. They impose 18 rounds of sanctions on Russia and none on Israel. They arm Ukraine because it's invaded, and Israel because it invades.

Yes, in Gaza the Israeli army has killed at least 60,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children. And yes, The Lancet estimates that the actual number is 40% higher, and much worse figures are circulating. And yes, 90% of the population in the Strip lives in destitution, in tents, forced to leave their homes while the cities have been bombed—all of them—just like all 36 hospitals, making it impossible for paramedics to evacuate premature babies, who died of suffocation in powerless incubators.
And yes, Israel blows up ambulances to prevent the wounded from being rescued, even when the wounded is a five-year-old girl. And yes, first the army shoots at the ambulance trying to save her, then at the child. It bombs Catholic churches, bakeries, UN schools. It bombs the tent camps where it forced Palestinians to flee in order to escape the bombings. And yes, 80% of the buildings have been razed or damaged; bulldozers have destroyed farmland, water tanks, and grain silos, because Israeli ministers insist that Gaza residents “must not have a place to return to” and claim that “letting 2 million Palestinians starve would be justified and moral.”
And indeed, Palestinians are starving or dying while queueing for bread—dozens every day—including children, newborns in their mothers’ arms waiting for baby formula: all killed by gunfire aimed at unarmed crowds by the army and by the “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation,” set up by Israel and the U.S. to replace the UN in food distribution.
And yes, UNICEF, Emergency, Oxfam, and Doctors Without Borders report that dozens of children have already died from acute malnutrition, while hundreds of aid trucks are blocked at the border. Meanwhile, trucks loaded with flour and narcotics pass through. If a hungry boy enters the sea to fish or cool off, snipers kill him.
And yes, Israel prevents the entry of international media so that journalists cannot see and film what only Palestinian journalists are witnessing—and for that, they are being killed in greater numbers than in all the 20th-century conflicts combined.
And yes, even Israeli historians like Amos Goldberg, Holocaust History professor at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, now call it “a genocide,” as the UN High Court of Justice considers plausible. And yes, arrest warrants have been issued by the International Criminal Court for Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and former minister Gallant, for war crimes and crimes against humanity.
And yes, Israel bombs four sovereign states, killing civilians there too, continues expanding illegal settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories in violation of international law, and massacres civilians in the West Bank too—where there are no Israeli hostages, no Hamas, yet over a thousand Palestinians have been killed since October 7 by soldiers or settlers armed by the government.
And yes: Minister Gallant himself presented an armed militia of illegal settlers who burn down houses; if six Palestinians resist, they are killed or kidnapped—over 2,000 of them, including women and children, locked up without trial in prisons where, Amnesty reports, torture is systematically practiced. Israeli witnesses recount objects being forcibly inserted into prisoners’ anuses, tearing internal organs.
And yes, 14 ministers wrote to Netanyahu urging him to annex the entire West Bank—the same ministers who call Palestinians “not humans but beasts,” claim “even children are guilty,” and suggest separating women from men to execute the men.
And yes, the United States, the EU, and the Italian government are complicit. President Mattarella is silent. They impose 18 rounds of sanctions on Russia and none on Israel. They arm Ukraine because it’s invaded, and Israel because it invades.
And yes, this is an unbearable double standard, and the childhood trauma in Gaza is unmatched in the world: 40,000 children have lost their parents, are mutilated, malnourished, anxious, regressive, mute, wet themselves. Psychologists have coined a name for this previously unknown condition: “Palestinian syndrome.”
Yes, all of this is documented. But now let’s move on to the news. Let’s turn to the sports page. Let’s look at the outfits of the guests at Bezos’ wedding. Let’s talk about the meteorite auctioned at Sotheby’s. Let’s talk about the DNA of someone collecting DNA samples found on a DNA sample. Let’s move on to World Cat Day, World Mouse Day, World Lasagna Day; World Day of World Days, created to celebrate journalists who cover World Days instead of genocide.
Let’s talk about the heat, the cold, the cool breeze, the protein diet, the heavy traffic, about NASA discovering a planet. A planet! In the universe!! Thought there were only the nine in the solar system? Eight, since Pluto was downgraded to a dwarf planet. Let’s talk about Pluto’s legal appeal.
Let’s hear from the expert, the criminologist, the color analyst, the astrologer, the child prodigy, the Cancer, someone from Italia Viva, someone from Forza Italia who used to be in the PD, someone from the PD who used to be in Forza Italia.
And that’s all for this edition.
