A close associate of Bono who works as a Moroccan spy, investigated for arms trafficking.

The young Moroccan entrepreneur based in Valencia, Mohamed Rachad, who was already involved in the ‘Ghali case’ complaint, is being investigated by the National Court for allegedly selling drones illegally to a Salafist-armed militia in Libya. In the operation, there are already five detainees, including a frequent contractor of the Ministry of Defense and three other members of his company.

Interestingly, this entrepreneur is close to the former socialist Minister of Defense, José Bono. In fact, in September 2021, the Spaniard attended his wedding just four months after the crisis with Morocco, a clash triggered by Ghali’s entry into Spanish territory to be treated for COVID.

According to Algerian sources, Mohamed Rachad works for the General Directorate of Studies and Documentation (DGED), the Moroccan intelligence service. And as reported by the newspaper El Español, the businessman’s name is Mohamed Rachad Andaloussi Ouriaghli, he is 34 years old, and over the past five years, his figure had emerged with strong ties to the Moroccan government.

The company targeted in the operation launched by the General Information Commissariat (CGI) was Star Defense Logistics & Engineering (SDLE), dedicated to the manufacture and commercialization of weapons. Its owner had become a frequent contractor for the Ministry of Defense, with 400 contracts awarded in just 5 years.

According to El Español, the young man was, according to the investigations of the National Police, a person « within the circle of trust » of a Libyan citizen who is also implicated in the case, and his intermediation was crucial.

Now, Spanish justice has been forced to issue a search and capture order after the businessman failed to appear in court. They have done so by issuing a European Arrest Warrant (EAW) and an International Arrest Warrant (IAW) after concluding that this individual would have fled Spain.
